Since he nailed that peno it all seems to have gone quiet

he is going to turn us down after the AFCON final when more teams are interested in him and Callum Wilson will have his own thread on GOT by Wednesday next week when we are advancing on a deal to sign him lol

Yeah. Just listened to the transfer update. How depressing. Would be nice to have a club with a bit of ambition.

Unfortunately with Moyes so heavily involved in recruitment it’s always going to be this way. Even if we were to bring in a couple of young forward thinking full backs I wouldn’t be confident Moyes would play them.

But it isn’t done though? We are 2 points off a European place with 17 games remaining and 8 players to come back into the team. We’ll still need a right back when the summer comes around as well, at which point you’ll be telling us we need to wait until late in the window to ensure we get the right players in again.

It’s about time this football club showed some urgency and competence. I’m sick of being told to trust a process that is non existent in order to excuse lazy, incompetent individuals at the club.

Tempt Palace with a bid for Mateta. Still good for another 2-3 years in his prime, 18 months left on his contract.

Rather go with somebody like that than some gamble from a crap league that has potential to be yet another expensive dud attacking signing.

Buying even more players simply adds to the expectation levels on Moyes to produce - which is what he wants like he wants a hole in the head. People know this, right?

He'll be looking to the returnees to get us playing better after January's window shuts (which they will) and for that to get us improved results (and there will be).

Then we'll get to the summer and the same nonsense cycle begins again with late August arrivals and issues over bedding in and then starting the season off; and by January we'll be out of two cups and looking at getting top 10 again as 'the objective'.
