Player Valuation: £25m
I understand that a medical is booked in for today however he won’t be announced until the end of the week as Cardiff need to submit their accounts as they are under a transfer embargo.
We probably will, but as Moyes has said himself the players he wanted are looking for European football and that won't change. Plus we don't know how Branthwaite's fitness will stand up and if N'Diaye will want away for a CL football. Add to that the strong chance we either can't afford Grealish or the owners don't see him as fitting their long term transfer strategy and the season has been a wasted opportunity.Indeed you can.
Yes, and the season before don't forget. In Dyche's only full season, points wise earned, we finished 12th - so that's two successive seasons on the spin we've earned the points to be closer to Europe than Relegation.
The bottom 3 is currently the worst it's ever been in PL history after 21 game weeks.
Moyes rocked up last season, with us on 17 points from 19th games.
18th went down last season on 25 points.
So Moyes needed 8 points from 19 games to see us safe. Praise the lord he managed it.
We did, we have no point deduction concerns now, or an AWOL owner. Nor the complete inability to spend, or have to make profit every window - Iwobi, Richarlison, Gordon etc.
We had the luxury of deciding which players we wanted to keep. Doucoure, DCL, all of them - we could have kept if we wanted. We decided to let them go and take the opportunity a club record spend allowed.
We absolutely should and I find it bonkers people are holding on to a pissy, wet blanket of relegation fights for comfort.
Villa went down a few years back. I wonder how long they wanted to keep talking up relegation.
My own opinion is we should be aiming top 10.
The managers and club captains opinion is Europe, and frankly - I don't disagree.
Anything bottom half of the table would be disappointing to me, no matter how slim the margins.
Half the league are in europe, and we've pissed away the cup competitions at pretty much the first time of asking.
Seasons over, no pressure, we'll pickup the points to finish top half IMO.

"Allardyce arrives at Everton with the club lying 13th, with 15 points from 14 matches.30 Nov 2017."Its nice when someone takes a stand against the narrative
People love to say "insert manager" saved us from relegation when they never.
The main one that I had a gripe with was the absolute lie that allardyce saved us from relegation, when he took over in November(ffs) , when we were 13th(FFS).
The other is the CIRCLING the drain myth.
I do get what you're saying but to some extent that's always going to be the case isn't it? Like numbers wise you're very often just shipping some players out and bringing new ones in, that's normal. Realistically I'm not sure we can call swapping Harrison for Grealish, Dibling for Lindstrom, Barry for Chermiti etc 'replacing like for like' with a straight face. We're talking about losing players who were basically brought in purely for numbers because they were available for the absolute minimum outlay and bringing in players we actually wanted for (in Everton terms) very significant sums of money. Obviously whether those signings have been the right ones, and whether we can trust the people who made those decisions to bring in the other players we need in this and future windows is up for debate, but I don't really agree that we didn't make moves which should have seen a significant improvement to the squad this summer. To be fair we haven’t spent the money on top of the squad that got 48 points, we lost half of that squad for free and the money we’ve spent basically replaced those players like for like. We needed to spend £100m simply to have a squad of footballers to put out on a football pitch. We’ve improved in some areas and very much not improved in others, we still have 3 or 4 positions minimum to address which is why I can’t buy the excuses that the club will come out with about this transfer window and the summer window and there being “no value” or “the right players weren’t available”. It’s a very low bar we’re looking to improve on, they can’t pull the wool over my eyes with that one any longer.
I must have missed the part where he got us playing with energy and purpose, i remember an absolute dire run with zero shots on goal"Allardyce arrives at Everton with the club lying 13th, with 15 points from 14 matches.30 Nov 2017."
Arguably a worse squad than we have now and he at least got the team playing with with energy and purpose (which they aren't doing now) Finished 8th which we won't do this season. A team doesn't need to be in one of the relegation places to be in danger of relegation.
We missed a Golden opportunity to push on and consolidate european ambitions as soon as this window opened. We're four point of Europe we should absolutely be targeting it and hoping to compete for it in my opinion mate - why would we really.
Just to bring that point back to transfers, what business we do will be telling if we invest particularly in right back - we are going for it - if we dont then i feel the administration are happy with 12th or the like.
Planning if fine - for Europe in a year or two, but sometimes football is chaotic and presents an opportunity - right now this season we have an a opportunity, we need to go for it.
Who is your Saviour to march us forwards, give us a name mate..
You've got it wrong mate, this thread is about who we are transferring out, not in.Enough of this where we finish, who are we pretending we're signing here lads?

Every man and his dog could see there would be problems once AFCON started and injuries & suspensions kicked in , especially with a squad severely lacking in depth leading upto the period.
At least 3 positions should have been strengthened before the festive period.
Is it too late to still push for europe ?...No.
Strengthen right now , then start getting our regular first team players back and there's a very good chance we do it.
Will we ? ...I'm not holding my breath.
Massive wasted opportunity.
Exactly, for whatever reason people seem to forget the awful football we played.I must have missed the part where he got us playing with energy and purpose, i remember an absolute dire run with zero shots on goal
