January Transfer Window 2026

You challenge for Europe and your appeal suddenly rises, better quality players will then listen in the summer.

It's a strange one, but it is a tough window.
A half decent RB or a striker that knows where the back of the net is every once in a while make a huge difference to this current team. However I do understand the reluctance to get involved in the January window.

It seems not. You can only assume from that they are planning another fairly reasonable spend during the summer and wish too keep their powder dry atm. Does seem slightly odd as the league is fairly tight and it wouldn't take that much to give us a bit extra too challenge for a European spot imo.

I think we will defo see a loan or two mate.

January is a marginal gains window, like Charly last year - he gave us that little bit of an extra dimension to tip one or three results our way- that’s what I’d be hoping for again.

Where the window lands in the Football calendar with a World Cup in the summer, there will be good players looking for exposure and mins, there will be
opportunities IMO this window.

Across January, the Sky Sports transfer window ticker will countdown in milliseconds in an attempt to whip up a trading frenzy amongst their viewers, but all our experience demonstrates how challenging the winter market is to deliver quality and value. We will work towards identifying and executing opportunities that will make us stronger in the long term. But these opportunities will need to be exceptional, and we will avoid short-term fixes that will weaken our hand for phase two of our rebuild next summer

From Angus Kinnear.
Don't be getting excited about January folks. As expected. We wont be doing much

vault me and my season card

Will all come down to who is available at the end of the day, I've no doubt Moyes would probably like a few more bodies in if possible.

The type of players we should be targeting should be difficult to extract in January. The only permanent i could see would be someone of the profile of Hackney.

Defo be surprised if there isn’t a loan or two of someone looking to head to the WC.

Yes but can’t we just get a f***ing right back
Honestly those guys must love taking the p*** out of the fans...no right back in the summer is inexcusable for me, no right back still in January should be enough to get rid based on competence alone. If you're incapable of bringing one position over the course of 8 months, then you should not be leading a professional football club in one of the richest league in the world.

Outgoings may also help us player trade, Beto, McNeill and Myko need looking at.
