It's not like they all got together and decided as a group is it? 'Asia Cup is every 4 years' does not translate to 'AFCON should see that and go oh okay then if they're happy with it then we should know our place and feel the same'.
A tourney every two years in a continent where football is the biggest sport and they lose every single one of their good players to richer more powerful countries is sound by me. More power to em, I'm glad they're sticking it to the Premier League etc. They could live with it being every 4 - yeah and we can also live with it being every 2.
This 'they should be happy with their lot' approach is weird to me and honestly is fundamentally a tory philosophy but that's starting to go too off topic so I'll shut up now
