African football has added so much star quality to the premier League over the last few decades and it's not as if people don't know AFCON is held every two years when they sign a player.

Other confederations should be allowed to hold tournaments and not cow-tow
to the global power brokers.

We play in the Euros a massive tournament in the two yearly interval between the world cup.

I for one will be watching our players, cheering them on and hoping they do their country proud and hope they replicate the joy they bring the supporters of this great club.

Yes but we don’t also play the Euros in the January of a World Cup year in addition to that do we? Just out of curiosity, would you be in favour of us adding another Euros every World Cup year?

It's not like they all got together and decided as a group is it? 'Asia Cup is every 4 years' does not translate to 'AFCON should see that and go oh okay then if they're happy with it then we should know our place and feel the same'.

A tourney every two years in a continent where football is the biggest sport and they lose every single one of their good players to richer more powerful countries is sound by me. More power to em, I'm glad they're sticking it to the Premier League etc. They could live with it being every 4 - yeah and we can also live with it being every 2.

This 'they should be happy with their lot' approach is weird to me and honestly is fundamentally a tory philosophy but that's starting to go too off topic so I'll shut up now

Why don't you think we will do anything?

Personally, I question why we'd loan Röhl with an obligation to buy if we had money available to spend now. Maybe it's to keep some free for January but they've already warned us that it will be a quiet window. Maybe a loan, possibly 2, but I don't see any purchases. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I worry that the new owners only purchased us for the stadium revenues & do not want us anywhere near Europe as it affects their parent club ROMA - mid table prefers them - if we get no funds in January that makes my suspicions grow even more - i read just one season at BMD & they will get most of their investment back in one season ......

….its been a mixed bag, KDH has to be one of the signings of the season so far. Grealish a terrific loan, ironically, it’s the youngsters who have been disappointing, although Rohl is more about injury than performance.

The club could have googled that Obligation to buy etc - just a loan would have done .....
