My thoughts are that the impending ceasefire between Israel and Hez organised by the US will serve only to allow the US/UK/France/Canada etc to extract their nationals from Lebanon.

I don’t see the ceasefire holding and ultimately Israel wants a buffer zone created right up to the Litani River.

Not rejected it, he openly said it wasn’t worthy of a response and that the attack would continue in full force. This is a proposal from their closest allies that they are dismissing.

The reaction from us and the EU should be to immediately suspend the free trade deal, halt any remaining arms supplies and ramp up support for Lebanon. If he still doesn’t react, the US should threaten to do the same. If he still doesn’t change course, the US has to cross the Rubicon and finally accept that their “#1 ally” puts their own interests above anything else, and do the same to them.
