Israel's total casualty count stands at 1,410, with 1,139 lives lost in the October 7 attacks alone. The events of October 7th were war crimes of immense scale, and at that time, Israel had every right to defend itself.
Where our opinions differ is that I believe the scale and prolongment of the bombings in Gaza is wrong. Too many people have died, many of them children. Some Israelis and others justify this by claiming that "there are no civilians" in Gaza, with the disturbing mindset that one dead baby is one less potential Hamas member. I believe that's their perspective.

This also totally ignores the decades of extreme suffering at the hands of the Israelis. October 7th was a reaction to this.

What worries me is that because there are so many powerful allies that have remained silent, Israel will never be truly punished for this as it will mean admission of guilt for the likes of Starmer, Sunak, Biden, Harris etc etc - who will actually lead the prosecution?
