Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

How do you react? I mean, nothing else has worked. The world stands by watching Israel committing human rights violations, forced displacements, land thefts, forced evictions, illegal detentions and torture including of children, systematic apartheid and genocide against Palestine and Palestinian people since 1948 - what are the Palestinians meant to do? Israel do not want to negotiate, not for one minute. Palestine has zero legal recourse against the daily international crimes carried out by their occupiers. Israel are the terrorists here, Hamas, as warped as they may be, are the freedom fighters and literally exist because of Israel

October the 7th was an absolute horror, make no mistake, unspeakable acts, however, you cannot suppress a people like this and not expect them to exact revenge.
I think we're venturing into dodgy ground here mate if we're justifying atrocities like October 7th.

I think that train has left the station when people were turning a blind eye to abuses towards the Palestinians for decades.

Some even tried to justify that practice by victim blaming the Palestinians themselves.

You know the culprits like @Zatara being the chief among them.

Horrible stuff been going to in this part of the world for ages and the Palestinians have a hand in it but the biggest culprits have been the Israelis.

Difference is western media and political fraternity demonising Palestinians and turning a blind eye to Israel.

Hence the term western hypocrisy

Defending October 7th is the equivalent of someone defending the actions of Baruch Goldstein. So let's be very careful here.

Hamas are not just fighting for freedom and human rights, they also want Israel's ultimate destruction as a country.

I think you'll find that the biggest culprits are the Islamic Republic (Iran).

They are the ones funding Hamas and all the other proxies in the closer vicinity of Israel.

For the past 2 years theyve been stringing up protestors and youve seen what they do to their women.

Remove that dictatorship and you cut the head off the snake. At that point in these current times we can point fingers at others.

There is no other way (as far as i can see) for peace.

Whoever did it would harm support for their cause and give fuel to their opposition.

Depends on what the media establishment thinks, if they agree they bombard you with positive messaging about the protest.

If not these are all terrorist sympathisers who un American/British/French or whatever and needs to be put down for causing a disruption.

This will have a impact on public opinion so unless your directly impacted by this.

I wouldnt say Hamas are fighting for freedom, or human rights.

Just look at their leaders and then look at what they do to their own people and how they have used (stolen) donations.

They want the money Iran sends as well as the donations they steal from their people...plus they want to control Palestine.

But they can only do those things by creating problems for Israel (so Iran pays them) and keeping their people from having any freedoms or human rights.

Who defended Hamas here or justified their attack?

Name names

Yeah they do want Israel off the map which is totally absurd and wrong

But how is that any different to what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians right now ?

Israel does not want a Palestinian state at all so what do we call that ?

Well @Noisy noise annoys came close enough to it with one of his posts!

I don't agree with October 7th, but i also agree that the Israeli response has been too brutal and heavy handed.

£16000 per Shaheed drone

I read that some of missiles used cost about $1.2m per missile from ground to air defences.

The air to air missiles used by jets to shoot these down were £700k minimum per missile.

So low tech cheap drones to exhaust and overwhelm defences is sound, but works only with sustained attacks not a one off.
Look at the Russian Ukraine war and how their sustained use has depleted the Ukrainian capability to deal with missiles.

It would take months of such strikes to deplete Israel's presumably larger capability than Ukraine plus they would send it back in spades.

Better this stops now. Innocent people in Iran and Israel will suffer and more than likely everyone in the region too.

That’s not the point I was making mate

Hamas have said they wanted to wipe Israel off the map which is wrong but what I asked you is how is that any different to what Israel is doing to the Palestinians by denying them a state ?

And settling on land while pushing the Palestinians off of theirs ?
