Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

That’s not the point I was making mate

Hamas have said they wanted to wipe Israel off the map which is wrong but what I asked you is how is that any different to what Israel is doing to the Palestinians by denying them a state ?

And settling on land while pushing the Palestinians off of theirs ?
Israel was in favour of a two state solution back in 1948 and Palestine weren't, hence why we've been having all these problems ever since.

I'm not going to argue about and defend everything Israel has done. They have been causing problems as well.

It would help if Netanyahu was no longer pm. Scaling down operations in Gaza would help as well.

Who defended Hamas here or justified their attack?

Name names

Yeah they do want Israel off the map which is totally absurd and wrong

But how is that any different to what the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians right now ?

Israel does not want a Palestinian state at all so what do we call that ?

Well @Noisy noise annoys came close enough to it with one of his posts!

I don't agree with October 7th, but i also agree that the Israeli response has been too brutal and heavy handed.

None of us are in their shoes.

Weve seen what Hamas are capable of both against Israel and their own people.

If you want to get rid of Hamas inside Palestine how do you do it with minimal casualties for both sides?

A: Wipe out their sources of funding
B: Go into Palestine and find + kill them all

Im not sure what the other options are?

We have clowns talking about "peace". There wont be any peace with the current regime in Iran nor with their proxies being paid to attack Israel.

Peace is simply a delaying tactic to help Hamas and the Iran leadership.

I really didnt! I pointed out that if you terrorise a people for long enough they will seek revenge.

over 130,000 Palestinians injured and just under 6000 killed by israel between 2008 and 2020

Les than 6000 Israelis injured and 251 killed over the same period

You lot still missing the point as to who is the terrorist in this conflict

That’s not what I asked mate I’m replying to your point and being careful as Hamas want to wipe Israel off the map which is wrong

One side is saying they want to wipe Israel off the map

The other side are saying they will never be a Palestinian state and pushing Palestinians off their land using violence and state apparatus.

What’s the difference ?

BTW it’s not 1948 and Isreal has reject peace offers from the Arabs too before you drive down that road

Israel was in favour of the 1948 UN partition plan because the Jewish population was the minority by a long, long way, and it divided the land almost 50/50, and gave them the fertile coastal plain and the best aquifers.

Wonder why the Palestinians might have objected to that being imposed on them?

According to Israeli press, their war cabinet has decided to strike back at Iran forcefully.

They really need to be told very quickly by the highest authorities, in clear and simple language, that if they do that they are on their own - no military support, no diplomatic support, ambassadors kicked out and sanctions / isolation of the kind that ended Apartheid.

It is the only thing that can stop them dragging themselves and hundreds of millions of other people to the edge of an abyss.

We’re already all in on the israeli battle bus mate, sunak and starmer won’t be getting us off anytime soon. Same with the French and the yanks.

Sickening double standards how they can all condemn Iran but not Israel. Dispicable.

The IDF are committing genocide on the Palestinians, while the world backs them and watches on with popcorn.

There was a lot of Jewish migration from Europe into that area. Would Jews have been welcome in one sole Palestinian state? I doubt it.

I do see the two state scenario as being the only viable option. Obviously how this two state plane was divided/imposed is another thing entirely.

The Zionists never wanted to be welcome in a Palestinian state. Their intention was always conquest.

There were a small number of Jews living in mandate and Ottoman Palestine, btw, that made up about 5% of the population.

I don't think either of us will agree on who we think is worse to be fair. Are you saying if the IDF disbanded in the morning, that everything would be fine?

Israel would be safe and it's citizens wouldn't be in any danger whatsoever?
Well obviously not given all the misery they have caused and land they have stolen.

I share this often as it really does give an idea as to who the victims are here:

When people like you talk about a two state solution I just roll my eyes. How can the Palestinians accept their lot? Israel wants more of Palestine not less! There is zero chance they give it back. So tell me, what are the their hosts expected to do?

Do you even acknowledge the West bank illegal settlements?
Israel has built about 160 settlements housing some 700,000 Jews since it occupied the West Bank and East Jerusalem - land the Palestinians want as part of a future state.
The vast majority of the international community considers the settlements illegal under international law, although Israel disputes this.
