Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

It means that the land of what is today known as Israel from Eilat in the south to The Lebanese border in the north and all the lands from the river Jordan to the Mediterranean Sea will be returned to the Palestinian people.

In effect it hints at the extermination/expulsion of the Israeli nation.
As opposed to de facto reversing it and Israel forcing Palestinians from their land and into a grave or the sea...

Except that South Africa was run by a minority population. Israel has more than twice as many Jews than Palestinians……..
There are about 7 million Jews in Israel and the West Bank, and 2 million Israeli Arabs of Palestinian origin in Israel.

There are about 3 million Palestinians in the West Bank, which Israel, as an occupying power, is responsible for.

That makes the Arab population more than two thirds the size of the Jewish population.

There are also just short of 2 million Palestinians in Gaza, which is why Israel wanted shot of it.

The world won't stand for minority rule.

Israel is deeply worried about demographics. Jews aren't making aliyah in anything like the number it needs.

It won't be long before Palestinians and Israeli Arabs outnumber Jews across Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza.

Exactly. But whatever way you look at it - there’s no middle ground here. Both sides have a kill or be killed mindset.
Because ultimately those not at the coal face as it were are benefitting.
The cost of the Israeli armaments used so far could have stopped poverty and suffering anywhere. But that's too pragmatic. Too keeping in line with religious 'teachings', too easy.
And it keeps the economics of western capitalism turning, for the time being, but not for much longer I fear.

Agree. It was a bit ham-fisted though.
Perhaps but it seemed clear to me at least what the intent was, but like anything regarding 'Israel' these days it is taken as offensive as erring on the side of caution, just in case it was offensive, keep the narrative going. 'We can't be the aggressors because everybody is attacking us'

I thought his book was supposed to be good, this is awful

It's a reasonable point to raise. I would agree with the statement that Jews are unique in how they are treated as a group, and for those reasons.

In no way does this free Israel from criticism for its policies, though. In context, stating that the left is an unreliable ally looks suspiciously like a means for justifying the unjustifiable, and pushing back on criticism for reasons wholly unrelated to the criticism.
