If you read what he actually said, I think his intention was to turn it into something positive, but sadly we're way beyond any nuance here and just into hysterical shouting. I would say it was ill-judged though.

Anything other than supporting Israel 100% in committing genocide makes you an antisemite and a Hamas supporter.
