It is terrible isn't it. It is a shame that a UN peacekeeping force or the like isn't on hand as these families are abandoned and under threat from radical settlers. Such a third party to keep islamists under control too would help. The current powers that be are seemingly incapable and unwilling to find a sustainable peace.

The UN peacekeeping force would be unable to help, and would likely be killed. My cynical, conspiracy hat would say the Israeli Govt would recieve no blowback from this, or they would luckily find a trail leading to Iran/Hezbollah who *definitely* did it.

Israel ramping up the criticism of Ireland:

Israel’s foreign affairs Minister Eli Cohen said he spoke to Ms Erlich and said she is representing Israel “in one of the more challenging arenas for Israel”.

“Today I spoke with Israel's ambassador to Ireland, Dana Ehrlich, and thanked her for her firm stand in representing the State of Israel in one of the more challenging arenas for Israel in Europe,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“Alongside our heroic fighters at the front in the south and north, we have men and women working day and night to strengthen international support for the State of Israel.”

The minister also included a screenshot of a photograph from an article from Israeli news outlet Ynet, showing Ms Erlich covered in blood, with a blood-stained Israeli flag behind her. ( WTF???)

The article described Ireland as one of the “most hostile countries to Israel in Europe”.


It also said President Michael D Higgins is a “prominent critic of Israel globally”.

Found the article referred to. Ynet printed what must have come from some of the pro-Palestinian groups in Ireland seeking her expulsion.

I can't say I would go as far as that, but I really object to Israeli Government and media strongly suggesting that the Irish people support terrorism by anyone against innocent civilians.

Irish people and, the politicians across the divide, seek an immediate ceasefire, a halt to killing of innocents (by both sides), and some sort of opening of negotiations.

Israel seems closed to this, and instead viciously attacks anyone that does not 100% support their illegal military actions - even when it involves the killing of innocents.

Something has to give.

Israel has made clear that is not going to stop, Hamas is going to keep attacking.

Maybe it will take many more lost lives on both sides but that really would feel like a path to a regional, possibly global escalation.

Russia are doing their best to position a Russia, Iran (islamic world), North Korea, China battle against the West. Hamas has opened Pandora's Box and we can be sure that their backers were fullt aware of what would happen.

Indeed, we live now in dangerous times. It could very well be that Hamas have been used by Iran and Russia to destabilise the region and draw the US into the mixer.

Hamas want the total destruction of Israel and Israel wants to destroy Hamas. Thing is once again it’s the poor Palestinians who feel the pain.

Looking at Irans so-called red lines it’s obvious they couldn’t give a flying one about the Palestinians. Their red-lines are based around the actions of the US in the region.

I mean that's sick really isn't it. They've basically spat on the memory of 6 million innocent men women and children who were murdered in death camps to justify their own inhumanity to man.

There is a realisation that will start to creep in around the world that there are no "good guys" (in terms of states/countries/governments).

The good guys are the people. Russians, Brits, Israelis, Palestinians... We are all the same.

There will be a war, more violent and grotesque than anything before, between the elites and the plebs when enough people start to realise this.
