Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

Are the Irish, whose closest military ally already has a beachhead on the island, supposed to start making demands of the US?

"Where is this plane going, and what is it carrying?"
"None of your business."
"Right, off you pop."

There are things to get upset about, but this isn't one of them. All raising a stink would accomplish is the symbolic goal of having the plane stop somewhere in Britain instead, and the US would exact a more meaningful diplomatic price in reply. Countries save raising that sort of fuss for when diplomatic relations have already deteriorated to the point where there's nothing to lose.
The Irish have every right to stop their country being used as a pit stop for the instruments of genocide.

As should the British if any go through the UK.

And shame for any American who thinks it fine to send them in the first place.

The countries involved in the supply and logistics of Israel's weapons are complicit in the genocide of Palestine.

Everyone who saw that footage of her body on the back of the truck knows more than the president of Israel. At least when that was filmed she was not beheaded, totally or partially and to be honest it worries me that they would say something so easily disprovable and the media wouldn't call them on it.
yes looks like conflicting stories. IDF sources say skull fragments point to head shot. Anyways sad as hell

Anyway, someone has been fired from the British Government for calling for a ceasefire:

Completely normal country.

Free Palestine protests are now described as “hate marches” according to our own government.

Again, completely normal country.

But isn't that what I said?
MJ - I probably should have done that post in a direct reply to Pete - I was actually trying to double down on your point, so sorry for the confusion. In fairness, I think Pete accepts that we are actually trying to be balanced in this discussion on absolutely heart-breaking tragedy for so many families.

TBF my MP managed to not only call for a ceasefire from the despatch box but also did so publicly after someone changed Hansard, to make it even more obvious what had been done.
Be more impressive if they called for Starmer to resign.

Just an aide.

Is that something less than a Junior Minister? If so I never knew that MPs would serve as such - we don't have TDs serving as 'aides' to ministers, but there are Junior Ministers in most if not all Ministries.

Plenty of Ministerial Advisers, but they are chosen by the Ministers and are not elected TDs.
