There can only be two outcomes in the long term. One side utterly destroys the other, i. e. genocide. This is obviously completely unacceptable, whichever side wins.

The other is that both sides learn to live together. It would only be possible with a lot of hard work, and a lot of forgiving of things that are considered beyond forgiveness. It’s not going to happen in our lifetimes, but it has to happen, because the alternative is really just too dreadful to contemplate. A former Israeli PM once said that the ones you have to negotiate with are your enemies.

Both sides MUST negotiate with people they hate.

It is perhaps notable that several family members of those Israelis killed and abducted on October 7th have already come out and said this needs to happen; many of the most bloodthirsty types are not the ones whose loved ones were murdered, kidnapped or are in uniform facing danger right now. Bibi minor for example is in Miami whilst his dad speaks in such harsh tones.
