IMaybe an odd question here. Have many of you spoken to people in real life about this?

I do with my girlfriend and a few mates. But at work, no one has mentioned it at all, my parents haven't mentioned it.

When Russia invaded Ukraine it was such an open conversation, this seems to be near silent for a lot of people. Like a weird vacuum

Again this morning on BBC newswatch it portrayed itself as 'balanced' dealing with complaints about its reporting and accusations of anti semitic bias and islamaphobia.
The detailing on the Israeli side had depth of suffering, the Palestinian side was about the protest marches and how they were reported. That isn't balanced.
It's like the whole world now is the rabbit hole and we live by rules none of us know because it doesn't tally with our senses or perception.

It's patently obvious he's got nothing and is entirely comfortable with all the death and destruction. Otherwise he'd not just keep witlessly requesting people's solutions as a defence mechanism for supporting the status quo.

Which is the difference between him and Pete, who many disagree with. Pete clearly abhors the violence and is genuinely interested in trying to discuss solutions.

It’s just little things too, like this on BBC page now:

Israel has been bombing Gaza since the 7 October Hamas attacks that killed 1,400 people and saw 229 people kidnapped as hostages

So they accept 1400 Israeli deaths unquestioned, but say only Hamas claim 7,000 Palestinians have died

You keep referring to Israeli as ‘guests’. They are not guests, the Jews have been there as long as those now called Palestinians. After WW2 the UN created Israel, Palestine had never existed but the area was divided between the two groups. The Arab countries attacked the Jews and then in 1967 the Israelis completely beat the surrounding countries and took over what is now Israel. Like it or not but war produces owners of land. The Jews won, the Arabs lost. Yes the Israelis have treated the people now known as Palestinians abysmally and killed a great many of them while systematically taking over whatever land they had. Meanwhile various terror groups continually killed lesser numbers of Israelis. This continued until we are where we now are. What you can’t do is get your head around the fact that the history and constant reference to it will not bring peace. If these two tribes are ever going to live together then the terrorist guns must go. If not then it’s down to whoever is the strongest and unfortunately for the Palestinians it’s not them. I want to see peace within Israel and both tribes living alongside each other, you however are only interested in dragging up the past. You say you’ve asked me about the above and I’ve replied, I’ve asked you how to bring peace and you ignore it. I don’t disappear, I just get fed up with a sterile debate going nowhere….

One of your better posts (accepting what Israel have done to the Palestinians). However, Palestine did exist, there’s plenty of ancient maps showing this despite efforts to remove them. The romans talked of the people of Palestina.

As for peace, I’ve said many times, there cannot be peace as Israel will not give anything. If I steal all your money snd tell you we can only be friends if you get over it what would you say?

It is interesting to see how some are actively expressing that Palestinian lives are equal to Israeli lives etc but are silent or not equally invested regarding Ukrainianes being murdered and abused on a daily basis by Russia.

Complacency or quite happy to let it happen as a precursor for the retaliation were now seeing?

Dunno what is worse. One is obviously heinous premeditated, but the former is the action of a humiliated fool lashing out rather addressing one's own failure. Neither are a good look.
