Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

In today's "saying the quiet part out loud" news:

IDF Maj-Gen (ret.) Giora Eiland, a former IDF operations chief and ex-head of the National Security Council, tells Channel 12 he believes Israel is in “an existential war.” As such, the impact on civilians in the enemy state next door may need to be extremely high but would still be considered “proportionate.”

He quotes the former prime minister Ariel Sharon saying, “The Jews have the right to live, too.”

Israel has to decide which is more essential, he says: “To look good in the eyes of the West or to terrify the Middle East environment?”

another report about how the Israelis were not, in fact, taken completely by surprise:

When you listen to the language they use to describe Palestinians, it's clear all they were waiting for was a pretext to seize Gaza. Everything else is just collateral to the Zionists.

If you wish to learn more about NI and its transition from war zone to peace then go do your own research. Start a thread even once you’re clued up.

However, let’s not remove the focus of this thread which is the slaughter of innocents on an industrial scale.

So you dont know. You just follow someone elses opinion like a sheep.

You cant seem to answer a single question or give a reasonable balanced view.

Just happy to insult others but suggest "discussion" as a (failed) solution.

Ironic.

A UN resolution calling for an immediate humanitarian truce and aid access to Gaza passed in the General Assembly yesterday afternoon, over the strongest objections from the member state of Israel.

An amendment proposed by Canada, to condemn the Hamas attacks on 7 October and call for the unconditional release of Israeli hostages, failed to be adopted.

The vote came hours after Israel had announced it would begin its ground invasion of Gaza overnight.

Ireland supported the motion. which had 120 in favour.

14 against against the resolution include Israel and its closest ally, the United States, five Pacific island nations and four European countries — Austria, Croatia, Czechia and Hungary, all European Union members. Eight EU members voted in favour.

45 countries – including Australia, the UK, Germany, India and Canada – abstained from voting.

Of course Israel has dismissed the vote.... quelle4 surprise!

See what you have said there is a statement of opinion, what you said about murdering thousands being necessary is a statement of opinion. These are not statements of fact and you are hiding behind the concept of your distastful opinions being facts when they are not. Its a paper thin attempt from you to avoid being accountable from your opinions advocting the deaths of thousands of innocents.
