The fact that he's focusing on the people and not distracting from the crisis by having the conversation about blame again is good imo as the message would get hijacked and turned into a fight on either side. Which is what makes the use of the word "attack" in that statement so important, pete. It really doesn't make sense to use that word if we are taking the position of Israel and the US that it was an accident.

This may be apropos of nothing but that was an Anglican hospital, if anyone has a genuinely independent point of access into what went on at that hospital it would be the Church of England. Justin Welby's statement uses much the same language as Sunak did when describing it:
