Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

A question though…After Hamas killed all of those innocent people, kids and babies, then took hostages, what would people on here have recommended Israel do ?……
Not an easy question to answer, but it would have to remain proportionate. The history of this conflict is littered with the disproportionality of Israel's historic 'responses' or 'defence'. Similarly Israel's aggression, making the first move, is more frequent than the West care or want to report. The incessant land grabs on innocent people create more fighters, the indiscriminate killing of women and children, ripping children from their families at gunpoint, from their school classes at gun point, for throwing rocks. The frequent cutting off of essentials like water, power, medicine and foods, all foments.
This concept of defence? How does that work? The attacks by Russia on Ukraine are rightly called out as inhuman and in breach of human rights, and like attacks by Israel on Palestine illicit wholesale support from western governments and in the UK opposition too.
So, as to what should Israel should have done? Well it shouldn't have done all the crap it did on a daily basis. To call itself a democracy it has to be able to negotiate, not sit at talks while its army bulldozes peopleshomes, or kidnaps opposition.
The rank hypocrisy is what fuels this. The duplicity from the west, the economics, arms sales, constant aggression from Israel must be recognised globally, until it does, enough people will continue to say of the Palestinian actions, as grotesque and abhorrent as they are, 'can you really blame them? Can you understand why?'
They've been left with nothing, and even less hope and then they have their child killed...

Something I was thinking, why does Israel appear to hold to much sway globally? They're not a financial powerhouse, not a major manufacturer etc, so why do so many countries unconditionally support them?
While others may talk about a Jewish cabal (a Jewish conspiracy), I think the more rational and less antisemitic swaying point is a reversal of this view.

Israel's position may providesa check-and-balance in, what some may perceive, is a region of many differences (social, economic, cultural etc) to the west.

They may believe providing funding and resources to Israel keeps other nations/cultures at bay and them a foot in the door of the east.

Personally, I think it's less about them holding global sway and more to do with the above, alongside perhaps nations believing their formation of Israel means...

... they hold some responsibility.

Play a slow game to get the hostages back. Correct intelligence failures, and figure out whether they can retrieve the hostages that way, or have to make a deal.

They never do it due to the political optics, any more than we stay out of Afghanistan, but it's a smarter play in a hostage situation. Get them back, then get payback, not the other way around.

But, being honest, if you were an Israeli and what happened came out of the blue, which apparently it did, what would you recommend the Israeli authorities to do, suck it up or do something. If you were to answer do something then what would that something be…….

I disagree and the evidence is overwhelming. If you look at the US and look into political powerbrokers, media moguls, finance houses, Hollywood, Federal Reserve chiefs, Facebook, Amazon etc etc. For a tiny minority they have way too much power and influence in the West and they didn’t get that power and influence without working together, in a Cabal.

But what about the hundreds they had just massacred, ignore it ? What would USA, U.K., France, Russia or China do…..
