Hezbollah is the organisation Israel fears most. They are battle hardened from their exploits in Syria and sit on 40 000 plus missile. Militarily, the IDF do not want to fight on two fronts. Political miscalculations may make that happen.

The Israeli state failed and now the Gazan's have to pay for it with their lives.
I hope to God not, but I can imagine there's a ratio the Israelis have in mind in terms of death toll suffered by each side.
Since 2008 6,400 Palestinians and 300 Israelis have been killed in conflicts, according to the UN. I fear they'll be looking to keep that proportion.
