Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

I like to think of myself as a fairly intelligent guy, but the historical unrest (for a better word) in this region is something I've never really fully understood (nor had much interest in, truth be told). But with the recent events I've gone out of my way to try and educate myself on the history behind everything. I've tried to make sure I've used balanced and factual sources, rather than just pick from either side of the debate.

To me it seems that factions of both sides of this have acted deplorably over the years, regardless of their self-perceived justification for their actions. But what is really boiling my piss, is the fact that as I now have a bit more of an understanding of the matter, is the absolute one sidedness and hypocrisy that seems to be being portrayed by the majority of western government and media, with their apparent full backing of the Israel government. Pretty sickening in all honesty, all things considered.

It's deliberately hard to follow and kept away from the front pages so Israel can be portrayed as the good guys.

If we got clear reports daily, all we'd get normally would be land grabs and human rights abuses by Israel and what else will that show but show Israel as being anything other than monstrous?

Israel and their backers are not innocent either. We might hiew ourselves as the good guys without doubt in Ukraine, but we're backing the genocide of Palestine.

It's a big mess. Hamas need dealing with, but Israel's backers in the international community also have a duty to get Israel to end the land grabs and their treatment of the Palestinians.

Can’t see any sense or reasoning breaking out in that part of the world in the next foreseeable 5-10 years.

Nothing is going to stop Israels revenge against Hamas. What we’ve seen so far is just the start of it. When the dust settles then maybe people of that region will be sick and tired of killing each other and start to explore alternative methods of peace and reconciliation.

Once Hamas are defeated there’s no way Netanyahu and his buddies can stay in power due their monumental intel failure.

Normal moderate Israelis will start to question why this happened and how do we find peace. The only answer they could arrive at is the acceptance of a free autonomous Palestinian state. However that epoch moment is some years away and sadly an awful lot of innocent people are going to die before then.
