And Egypt wishes it wasn't.

Egypt has 'peace' with Israel and keeps just as close an eye on the Gaza border as it would with any other. The last thing it wants is to be seen as actively helping out.

If Gaza was no more in say, 6 months from now, the Egyptian leadership would probably be a mix of sad and relieved at the same time. The terrible situation would be no longer their problem.

Posts like yours in black and white terms show support for a terror group. Because if you disagree with my view then surely you support Hamas.

Of course the poster doesn't support a terror group and to suggest posters who don't support your view support Hamas is childish as it is funny.

I don't think anyone on here is in support of Hamas' actions, but you seem to be the only poster who is failing to grasp the nuances of the conflict and understand the wider issues.

We could all, like you, petulantly shout 'Hamas Bad' (and we'd all be right), but that would make for a short thread and many of us want to broaden the discussion...ideally without having to scroll through all of your multiposts that make the same point.

I have been wondering over the past couple of days, how many Jewish people are signed up to GOT?

They're probably mortified at what's going on (both sides) and utterly shocked at the amount of ill-informed "this is all on the Israelis" comments they read here.

I only ask because I also read and occasionally post on another far, FAR smaller Everton forum (probably 50x smaller. I have no idea tbh) and 3 posters riased their hands yesterday as Jewish and said they where utterly shocked at the levels of anti-semetism posted by fellow Evertonians.

These aren't people condoning the actions of the Israeli leadership, these are just normal people who happen to be Jewish.

Posts above types by @from_the_eighties are the worst I have ever read on GOT. It's a perfect example of how the Internet, the greatest tool available to man is wasted on mouth breathing knumbskulls like them.

Rather than educate themselves they just regurgitate garbage.

Well said. I normally enjoy Zat's posts (yes, you read that right) but I think I'm going to need to pop him on ignore while reading this thread. He's really not adding anything to the discussion.

No, the average Israeli isn't.

Can they stop buildings being put up, can they stop shops opening, can they stop Hamas getting hold of 5,000 missiles and arms, no they can’t and if they blew up desalination plants or electricity generating systems then the world opinion would be against them. This simple fact is they haven’t done it…..

This has been happening for years. Everything has to cross into these places via Israel and they just don't let it in. I think you totally underestimate what the israelis have put te palestinians through and, as they have had total US backing, the world does nothing about it.
