Is Baines Irreplaceable

But if he wants to go there's not much we can do. And tbf if he does he deserves that crack at league titles and CL. He can't be replaced, by that I mean we won't find another LB offering what he does. However that doesn't mean we can't find other players that will offer that creativity, goals etc from another posistion.

Oveido was bought for a reason last summer and it certainly wasn't to play the odd game when baines was injured. I'd say we probably held onto baines by the skin of our teeth last summer.

He didn't want to leave last season, how does anyone know that this has changed?

Moyes was more important then Baines, but no player is bigger then the club, yeah he my favourite player and would rather keep him cos we've lost Moyes and about to lose Fellaini, so losing all three would be bad news for the club and makes Martinez job so much harder. I'm hoping Baines not arsed about Man u and will commit to us for the rest of his career. If not then we just move on and build a new team around Mirallas and Barkley, colemen, Gibson. I've lost respect for Moyes tho after the reception he got from us.

There's something really tacky and immoral about Moyes coming in for Baines, especially the risible offer made. Moyes has fallen badly in my estimation. I know that we are possibly going in for some Wigan players but Roberto is presumably not being paid any more by his former club.

It's football mate get real. He wants a LB and baines is the best out there. He's not still getting paid ffs, pretty sure once utd wanted to confirm moyes negotiations would of taken place. Yes his contract has been left to run and expire, prob same as Martinez but I imagine there's plenty of reason for that (business wise etc).

It's a starting bid, you always go lower on initial approach and moyes won't be dealing with that side of it at utd. It does do my box in having to post reply's to stuff like this, as it makes it look like I'm defending moyes (our ex manager) I'm not because there's nothing to defend! People build these conspiracy's and are disgusted etc because utd starting bidding at 12M??? Haha get a life ffs, its the way football works...

There's no conspiracy, he's not doing anything any football manager wouldn't do, we don't have to accept, we can name our price, he's not still our manager (on anything other than MAYBE paper) and he's certainly not receiving a weekly wage that he pops in for every Friday.

How do we know tho mate?

Arteta looked to be leaving, then stayed as he wanted to stay at Everton (supposibly) next summer he was off. Moyes stating he pursuaded arteta to give it one more year.

The same could of happened with baines.

Man u don't really need Baines, they have some of the best players in the world and wont need to rely on a LB to attack, Moyes said he didn't want to see the team broke up but then comes back with a ****ty bid for a our LB, he being an asshole and I hope we show our him our feelings when he comes back to Goodsion.

Exactly, we don't know much at all, especially as they're on holiday too. Arteta asked two seasons in a row for a move, Baines asked to stay last season, which is encouraging.

Oh dear!! Have you any idea what you sound like! Haha

Well baines is better than what they have and evra wants back to Monaco so I'd say yes they do need a LB.

Rumours: Baines, Fellaini, Heitinga...who's next Mirallas?

Everton we need to keep all our best players (bar Johnny) not selling them. Using the money available to add to the squad.

The potential transfer of these three players would have been the same if moyes was still manager. There have been rumours all season. It's not because moyes has gone, it was always going to be this way.

I. If Moyes is so good in the transfer window then he should go and find a new LB, which is what the man u fans want, a younger left back. Baines is very shy and doesn't have a massive ego like footballers, Man u are trying to unsettle him just as we give him a contract and his positive interview. He should have respect for the club mate, he was here 11 years but I bet the **** hoping Martinez struggles just to show how good Moyes is.

Personally, these players (except Heitinga) have less chance of leaving should Moyes is still here. Mirallas would not say "maybe playing in Spain the coming season". I think many of the players face uncertainty and may consider their future now. There's a quite a big change at Everton. That's what I think anyway.

The rumours about fellaini and baines were doing the rounds last year. Talk about them leaving started way before moyes announcing he was leaving. They are arguably our best players and are up there with the best players in the league (especially baines) and we are not in Europe. Cl Clubs are going to be looking at them if moyes was still here or not. People making out its only happening because moyes has left are way off. If ferguson was still Man U manager the same thing would be happening, he was sniffing for a while.

I'm pretty sure mirralas was talking about Spain before moyes's announcement.

He didn't actually say "maybe playing in Spain this coming season" though. He did say he would consider to play in Spain in the future (before Moyes left).

The media will always try to dig things up (taking interviews with our best players while they are on international duty; asking them are they leaving). The media want us to fail.
