is the uk an island nation or is it not ?
It was when I looked on the map with NI inclusive of it! oh by the way the isle of man is not in the EU but incluse to the UK!

that shows an island and a piece of another one with a sea in between, so not an island nation then.
It also shows the isle of man part of the UK not under EU jurisdiction!
so goods enter ports and flight with no problems!

island nations don't have land borders.
Speaking of Island nations, Guernsey and Jersey look set to stay in the common market and adopt EU law and the same common market deal with the UK. They will enjoy every benifit, freedom of movement etc no borders.

Yes but the likes of the isle of man still have exports and imports and remain in the uK and are outside the EU - technology can be used or if a trade deal by not putting the cart before the horse is agreed first the problem is easier to solve!
This issue needed sorting i.e. trade talks with the EU within EU negotiations before the border had been sorted first before looking at the border issues only the EU stirred emotions on that!!
What technology can be used?
Putting the cart before the horse was calling a referendum on leaving the EU with no notion of how to do it.

the vote was passed by a UK parliment by 6-1 in how the Brexit question was to be put to the electorate with months of campaigning of OUT or IN/ OUT won if it had been done on constituency basis it would have been a 60% landslide victory for the OUT vote in a huge turnout!

hey man, not complaining about the English vote. I'm just concerned about the border because that's where I'm from and thats where my family live. I don't believe the process was thought out at all before the vote was called. That, in my book, is putting the cart before the horse.
