Not just apparently, apparently......
You are better than that Pete.

We aren’t capable of arguing our own interests? Our Taoiseach has articulated our position well and Europe has backed our stance as we are a member state. What else do you reasonably expect Ireland to do at this time?

@Joey66 was talking earlier about helicopters enforcing a border! Gee whizz, that didn’t turn out well last time.

Hahahaha....what do you think the U.K. has been trying to do all these years. Anyway good luck for the ROI changing the EU, I hope you have more success than we did.....
I actually think we have, but we have realistic expectations.
I think the timing of the EU project hasn't settled well with the demise of the British empire. There's a whole generation who still cant get their head around being part of a team rather than the boss.

Joey mate, I have no idea what that means
Good debate over thenlol
You and @Charlie Sweet need to listen to James Braxton on LBC at 10 am - he's been crying in his hankies since the Brexit vote was lost, but hates Corbyn too!
BBC sacked him he says he stood down then bigots would say that - you would love him lads he quotes the same crap everyday as it helps me to sleep!lol

Joey, you really have no concept of the Irish border whatsoever but fair play to you for wading into the debate regardless ;)

Of course you are capable of arguing your own interests, I only wish you would instead of following the lead from the EU. But what will be will be...

I would have to disagree with Joey regarding helicopters or other suggestions of cameras on poles...

No mate, the empire is history and we are quite happy just being ourselves and looking after ourselves, we are more than capable. It is now you that belongs to a new superstate/empire, enjoy......

The EU position and our position is mutually exclusive. I may be a remainer but I am Irish first and foremost. If the EU stance wasn’t for the benefit of us then I would object. The reality is that our national interests are being protected by the 27 and that is the very nature of a trading community.

How else would you have Ireland act? How should we lead as you say?

You should be saying get a deal done, that will ensure everyone’s economic benefit, then using the deal as a base tweak the rules to ensure a frictionless border. That is the only order in which it can be done, and Tusk and co know it......
