Parliament has already voted and as a result article 50 has been invoked, we are leaving the EU....so the majority of people voted to leave the EU, Parliament voted to invoke article 50, the process was officially started by both the U.K. and the EU, yet still the remainers won’t accept the result........democracy indeed......
people do accept the result but what you cant accept is that what you are saying in this thread is wrong and everybody else is right..........

Would you accept it if a parliamentary majority rejected brexit proposals now resulting in the overturning of the decision to leave?

Depends what you mean by Brexit proposals, but provided Parliament asked the people to vote again and remain won then no problem. But even then, if Leave won again we would be in the same position......

I didn't ask about another referendum. I asked about our Parliament taking a decision based on their role as represenatives of the people, bearing in mind referenda are not legally binding.

Parliament has gone against the so-called will of the people for the good of the country before.

the only way Leave would win a second vote is if May ran the Remain campaign

I would think there would be absolute chaos if parliament did as you suggested on this matter. To offer the people of the U.K. a vote, agreed by Parliament, and then to turn around and say we will ignore the result would turn the U.K. into a third world nation.......

the problem is that the result of the vote, if implemented, is to turn the UK into a third world nation

I knew you would say that: but you know that isn’t true, and thanks to the doom mongering prior to the vote, and our growth since, so does most of the U.K. ......

pete - with the current administration doing the negotiating, severe and long-term damage to our nation is likely.

Also, as Bruce (and others) have repeatedly pointed out to you our growth since is whilst we are still in the EU. The important thing is what happens when we leave.

I think most fair minded people, and the U.K. electorate are pretty fair minded, would overwhelmingly vote to leave just to put parliament in its place.......

whats this got to do with the irish border...........

You're right, it should. But we are governed by a representational democracy where referendums are advisory to parliament. If a majority in parliament think that Brexit is wrong, then going through with it is counter to our democratic system.
The Parliment voted 6-1 for that ballot paper lay out prior to the vote - you lost just accept it, trying to back the remain campaign is rediculous - project fear never materialised!
EU - ITALY have just kicked out the pro EU established government!

That is one opinion, other opinions suggest we will grow faster. I for one have stated from the very beginning that my issue is one of democracy and not some minor economic inconvenience, even though I believe that we will grow economically as a result of leaving the bureaucracy of the EU......
