I don’t know why people are so keen to see Jeffrey Donaldson involved in this, he is the one now leading the DUP into a more liberal position, more liberal in the context of the DUP, if this is him and his wife then I expect the DUP to turn to a more hard liner and we could see another walkout. If this story is correct and a senior DUP politician is guilty of kiddy fiddling and be brought down the I can think of a few who I would rather see going than Donaldson. Unless he is guilty and then I hope he finds himself in gaol. He might bring others down with him but I take these type of stories with a pinch of salt, let’s wait and hear what’s going on. As long as I can remember there has always been rumours circulating about Donaldson, being gay, watching porn etc.etc.
Seems more to this than just rumours. Media are obviously being cautious but just seen the Irish News article reporrmting the removal of all his social media accounts and no comment from the DUP.

As always in these news stories everyone wants the information but theres a potential victim/s whos life has been changed by what may have happened which is terrible for them, particularly as this will generate high profile media coverage.

All true. However is it to soon to refer to it as the Good Friday arraignment?
It does seem to have some legs, however given the seriousness of the allegations and the fact that there are victims involved I think everyone should temper their relish. Let the law take its course but remember if crimes have been committed then there are victims.

I do not doubt the seriousness of what is happening, I have some experience of the law in Northern Ireland and I know the police wouldn’t lay charges, particularly against a public figure unless they had just cause. I just think the relish being shown in some quarters, and not just by nationalists, that a political figure has been caught in this sort of crime diminishes the fact that there are victims. If people have come forward and have substantiated allegations against a person or persons in high office then they are the main players in this, their bravery is the story, not some toe rag politician and his cronies.
The DUP (and other iterations) have a history of destroying previous leaders whenever they've tried to move the party away from hard line Unionism.
