Sammy Tache has completely lost it...

"It is the Irish Government who are pushing for the Belfast Agreement to be torn up, the principle of consent to be cast aside and for a border to be placed between Northern Ireland and Britain, the country to which we belong."

lol lol lol

Do you seriously not understand what the man is saying ?

He is a vacuous buffoon who failed as a teacher before he somehow ended up in politics. He voted against the GFA as it happens anyway, as did all the DUP.

Interesting that he brings up the principle of consent in particular whenever the majority of both north and south have demonstrated that they wish to remain in the EU and trade away as always. The Southern Irish government advocating this can only reasonably be then seen as implementing a principle of consent across the entire island.

What you are seeing with Wilson’s tirade is that the penny has dropped in his empty head that the DUP’s Brexit stance has irrevocably damaged the constitutional tie to the UK.

What Sammy has also just processed through his vacant Ribena Berry dome is that Brexit has turned out to be a disaster and that none of this would have been possible without his merry band of bigots propping up the floundering Tories.

Someone has to take the blame for it Pete and just like you, he blames Dublin for a mess of his own making.

While Sammy continues to ply his trade on the comical wing of the DUP, not a well populated wing, I don't think anyone can blame the DUP for this mess. The Conservative Party have done this and continue to press forward into a no-deal brexit. They have also allowed themselves to be led by the nose by a fundamentalist Christian group with a dogmatic approach to all things. You can't blame Sammy for being Sammy, he hasn't changed his stance on anything, ever.

Without the DUP Brexit would have already happened by now.

His faux outrage at the Irish government's warning that a no deal Brexit may bring the constitutional question to the fore doesn't wash. It would be safely on the back burner where he wants it if his party hadn't significantly increased the chances of no deal by threatening to withdraw support for May's government when the original deal was agreed, which included an NI only backstop.

Even if there were to be a referendum the principle of consent as agreed in the GFA would still apply. So his claim that the Irish government wishes to tear up the GFA and ditch the principle of consent is frankly laughable, and is a pathetic attempt at fearmongering in order to appeal to the increasing number of Unionists who are anti-Brexit to get back onside as far the union is concerned.

I don’t know the man tbh. But this, it’s all his fault no it’s all their fault doesn’t really help. Only believing one viewpoint will never resolve this. It may well be resolved by a no deal, which no one really wants......

It is their fault you don’t have Brexit, that is a fact.

I don’t believe I am just ‘believing one viewpoint’ actually. What I outlined regarding Wilson is pretty nailed on I can tell you and I have encountered him enough times to know that.

I’ll go with you judgement....

Wish everyone would grow up. Lets be frank, at some point we will have a trade deal pretty much identical to what we currently have with the EU.

So just crack on and sign the flaming papers. Then all this does away.

This is the issue really Roydo. This nonsense of a withdrawal agreement is but the first step. The trade deal is what counts and it will remove many of the barriers. The problem has been the order, with the trade deal being put off until after the WA. The EU know this, it was part of their strategy to keep the U.K. within the EU, and part of the Remainers attempts to aid this by undermining our negotiation position. The current political debates are purely about leave or remain as the Remainers are just pretending that any deal is good or bad, it must be defeated.

Boris I believe will frorce this through one way or the other, then the country and its people can adapt to the new or old reality and get on with their lives......
