Seriously are you drunk?

I said your point (if you truly mean it) is why your government are in this predicament in the first place if you think your country doesn't care about Ireland.

No, you referenced it as if it were just a personal opinion. Do you even read your own posts.....

the fact he sums it all up as simple as we "broke away"

This from a man who claims to have Irish heritage and is up to speed with Irish history and all of that
I'm sure they teach a sanitized version of their imperial history over there. Fortunately there are many who don't buy it.

Ignorance is bliss as far as the peteblues of this world are concerned. They haven't an actual clue about the realities of the situation here, both historically and currently.

Having spent a lot of time in the UK, I am reassured that patronising views such as his are very much a minority viewpoint. It's interesting how many other Brexiteers are posting such guff in this thread...

He's a maverick. Let him come on here every night tanked up and tell us Irish how wrong we all are and how he knows what is best for us. We can only point at him and laugh at him.

Well you sure can’t argue a point......

Ah the second part of it sure i do think you are one of those that does not care about Ireland. You many posts speak for themselves. You have what eight people pointing out flaws in your "opinions" and so called facts and all you do is dig in with stubbornness and accuse them of ignorance or of being childish.

some of you posts have a) been historically inaccurate and b) ignorant

Whereas yours have been what exactly. Balanced and insightful, correct and factual, supremely intelligent and informative. Again, try reading your own posts.....

Careful he will accuse you of hating British people next. He did that to me last year.

Can you show me which piece of international law covers the ROI claim.....thank you in advance.....
Actually, you should explain why Britain split the island of Ireland when the majority of that country wanted Britain out of Ireland altogether. The 1918 General Election delivered a Sinn Fein majority across the whole island. It is this total ignorance of democracy, as well as the likes of gerrymandering, which the British turned a blind eye to, that created the conditions for war in the 20s and the period from the 60s to the 90s in the north of Ireland. The south broke away from the UK? You really need to up your game mate. You aren't talking to fellow squaddies now. These lads on here are educated.

Surely not.....I thought you loved us.....

I have no truck with the DUP, nor any other politicians in NI. But the DUP correctly saw what Varadkar was doing, playing politics. They all are, the DUP and the ROI. The U.K. and EU are playing it too. It’s a disgrace in my opinion, but while NI is part of the U.K. we have no option than to support them......

You wha?

You are not “supporting “ NI.

The vast majority of people there and every business organisation and the trade unions support the Backstop deal.

You are only “supporting” the DUP....a party you claim to have “no truck with”.

And they only represent themselves.....not Northern Ireland as a whole or even the majority of it.

Stop burying your head in the sand.

You are buying into a fiction.

You confuse Irish frustration with some British folks condescension and ignorance with hate. You opened that can of worms by saying Britain does not care and said we simply broke away. hence you got what 8 ot 9 people call you out.

The Irish don't have problems with England nor any part of the UK.

Given that all of us are on an Everton forum i thought that would have been clear.

Many of us have lived or worked in the UK too and have spent leisure time there.

Don't confuse annoyance of your attitude to hate.

Otherwise report me or any other Irish person who is "hating" you or any other Britain on here.

The thing is you see, back then things were a bit different to what they are now. Secondly I have never been a squaddie, thirdly Education is all about quality, levels, depth and breadth, yours don’t even come close......if you wish to insult me at least try something where you are on more stable ground....but good luck with that.....
