When did this change, bluesteven?

It must have been within the last two years because Spours finished 4th and missed out when Chelsea won gthe CL two years aro.

Believe it was changed as a result of things like that mate, plus they wanted to make the eufa cup more attractive so gave a spot to the winners of that too. Will have a search around see if i can find a official ruling on it

Checked through the eufa regulations and yeah if a team wins it and doesnt qualify for it via the league then it bumps the 4th place team down into the eufa, unless the winenr is from a nation that doesnt have 4 qualifying spots - say the dutch or french leagues etc

Cheers for the link allen, i knew i'd seen that it was changing/had changed, but wasnt sure where i'd seen that. just means we have to win the league then lids i think ;)

We are going really well right now. To finish in the top four we need to win our next three games i.e Sunderland, Southampton and Spurs, sign another quality striker and avoid injuries to key players.

Win the next two and in all likelihood we'll need another 32 points from the rest of the season. Can the players average 1.7 points per game? Of course!

I'd bite your arm off and swallow it. As injuries and suspensions kick in it will be harder for the likes of us to maintain the challenge.

We are 2 points off top with what should be 2 straightforward home games. We are also just about the most consistent team in the league. So, no. I want to see if we can challenge the top 2
