I’m guessing it was the offer of Guinness and Craic that attracted all the multi national companies to Ireland and not a favourable tax regime. 2nd only to Luxembourg in ppp individual wealth as a European nation

Companies won’t get up and leave in a huff but you will find that any future investment decisions won’t be going to stricter tax regime countries.

It is a slow steady long term decline.

Bit like the PL. We need to be competitive even if we don’t really agree with the rules.

You may well be right, but honestly we cannot continue with the current inbalance. We need revenue to start to recreate society, all those that profited from Thatcher’s rape of Britain should be held accountable and pay.
