What you will find is that it is a global world and the companies will just leave and set up in more friendly tax regimes. We will have mass unemployment and still have or want to buy what they sell.

At least you will know that painting yourself orange and talking total crap won’t change things as it is being tried now.

As most politicians find, when they do get elected to run countries, in the real world simple solutions aren’t really the best answer.

I would hope that the anthem would be so inclusive that all the home nations would adopt it.

Uk has many political bridges to build internally as well as externally. Generating enough revenue to support national infrastructure would be a good start.

I’m guessing it was the offer of Guinness and Craic that attracted all the multi national companies to Ireland and not a favourable tax regime. 2nd only to Luxembourg in ppp individual wealth as a European nation

Companies won’t get up and leave in a huff but you will find that any future investment decisions won’t be going to stricter tax regime countries.

It is a slow steady long term decline.

Bit like the PL. We need to be competitive even if we don’t really agree with the rules.
