How's Moyes feeling now.

I'd imagine pretty content with his time at Everton. Spent hardly anything in his time here, inherited a mess in 15th left us 9 places higher with a strong and fit squad with some quality.

when we paid his wages he did a good job for us. what he did when we didn't pay his wages is not my concern.

moyes came in and was a breath of fresh air, he had hunger desire , understood the club and did well in tough times.

some 'fans' will do well to appreciate what he did do rather than being sour.
please show a bit of class and respect - its the everton way.

And after he went he made himself a load of money even though he has been a complete failure.I don't think he'll be feeling too bad.Did a really good job here with the resources he had but wouldn't trust him with loads amount of money.Don't think he'll be returning to the PL .

For the benefit of newer supporters like yours truly, what is the source of the Moyes hate? Leaving for United?

No.

Remarks he made in the months following his departure.

He had a rollicking great farewell ovation and lap of honour after his last home game.

Then he couldn't keep his trap shut about our club.

Moyes would of been forced out eventually, probably within a season after he did leave (and if that would of spared us Martinez I'd happily of taken that extra season). I have a lot of time for Moyes and will always have respect for the job here did here but the reality is he overstayed his welcome by about four years. Lots of fans were turning on him by the end and it would of got much worse. I was quite relieved when he left, I'd had enough of his endless negativity but at the same time I had enough respect to not want to see him sacked. Seeing him leave for Man Utd was great, I knew he'd fail because of his own inbuilt negativity and the fact that Alex Ferguson was an impossible act to follow. If he's honest with himself he'll know that while he did well here it could of been so much better and he played a large part in preventing it from being better. All I'll say to those who call Moyes a failure is that if being a failure means having his bank balance then make me a failure right now!

He was the right man at the time to come in and sort the mess out that he inherited.

Turned the club completely around on a shoe string, bringing in some fabulous bargains and making household names of unknown players.

I think the biggest kicker was not only losing key men when on the verge of the FA Cup, but the emergence of the super wealthy Manchester City. A club that had spent years playing in the lower leagues was suddenly buying top class players and came in for Joleon Lescott.

Moyes lost a bit of heart that summer imo.
And it never returned. The lack of funding having finished 5th two years running, and about to be overtook by another cash rich team just took the wind out of our sails.

Shame he made the comments he did at Man U as that tarnished an excellent and appreciated job that he did here. He probably stayed a couple of seasons too long, but without out him I dread to think where we could have been.

Your right, did a job for us during a period when things maybe could have gone worse. Top jobs for English managers are few and far between and many spite him for making the switch. He obviously couldn't foresee that this would be the state of Everton 5 yrs later.

But knowing now whats it's like to watch a manager like Koeman and his teams style of play, I don't think anyone wishes things would've worked out differently.
Moyes best teams played some great stuff, but it didn't happen consistently enough, and that fear he had was more of a glass ceiling than our finances, his loyalty to some real gash players part of it, all the good stuff from Moyes management seems to have been completely overtaken by the poor side of him as a manager, that energy has gone, he looks well and truly finished
