How's Moyes feeling now.

With all the great things happening at Everton now I wonder how Moyes is feeling, also would he still be here if he hadn't have jumped over and failed at the Man Utd job. I actually think if he had wanted to stay here he would still be here Kenwright was very loyal to him, I'm glad he didn't as we have got a real professional manager now. But I must thank Moyes as he did steady the ship in very depressing times being an Everton surporter.

Moyes will be content enough with his bank balance mate.
Although we'll never know, I suspect if he'd been here when Moshiri bought into the club, that he'd have been replaced anyway.

Though it went stale in the last few years, he did a good job at the club for a long time, but three failures since leaving us tells it's own story.

He left at the best time for everybody, I mean sure we had to tread water a bit with the last clown, but its worked out well for us in the end, the Dutch Moyes I called Koeman when first linked, I suspect Moyes would trade in his Charity Shield tomorrow to win even a quarter of what Ronny has won.

But ok, this is football.

steadied the ship and was probably the correct man for the job over the period however his playing down/lowering of expectations/punching above our weight/knife to a gunfight/little old Everton perception is a legacy that will take even moshiri some time to change.

That perception of Everton bringing knives to gunfights was less about anything Moyes said and more about having to play Anichebe up front rather than Henry, and only being able to spend buttons on loans rather than hundreds of millions of pounds.

Hand on heart i love moyes.

He took a championship level team and turned us in to a top 7 team. I will always respect him for what he did for our club.

I honestly shudder to think where we would be if it wasn't for him. I truly believed if we went down we wouldn't of came back up before he took over.

He is our past now though and we are looking at the future. A big shiney exspensive future with bells and whistles and gun and hookers and booze on it all covered in gold and diamonds

Some of the signings he made were outstanding he could easily do a Steve Walsh role at a club identifying players
the way he left was a bit disappointing but in any walk of life you do what is best for yourself and family
if i was the Sunderland owner i would of got shut of him soon as he mentioned relegation at the start of a season
his negativity spread through that club like wild fire
Everton have moved on if he was still here he would probably do a decent job nothing special
lets not forget the best manager we ever had came back and nearly took us down R.I.P Howard

I am always dissapointed with the disrespect for Moyes, did a wonderful job for us.

Nothing but admiration for the man.

totally agree with this. He turned this club around. You can argue the fact that he took us as far as he was capable as a coach, but he did do a good job for this club.

Not really bothered but he doesn't deserve the level of criticism he gets. He said 1 or 2 unsavoury (but not awful) things when he left but he took us from the brink of relegation to consistent Top 7 finishes.

He used to live near us. I met him a few times and he seemed a thoroughly nice fella - always had time for a quick chat.
I think we sometimes forget the state the club was in when he came in, and some of the deadwood that he had to remove. Dealt with a crippling financial state too. I think that we are in a different position totally nowadays though. I wish him well in whatever his future holds.

I think that was down to Moyes himself mate,he appeared far more content with a limited budget surrounded by decent fellas/decent players than top class players with cash to spend as was proved at united.
