He should probably still play against Arsenal, but I think we all know Robles will play.

Shocked that anyone dosent want to play our strongest players in the biggest game of the season and make a serious effort to win this, the cup is all we have left now. Robles was shaky against very poor teams, him up agaisnt Arsenal? we know the keeper is going to get worked, forget it.
If we are going to play Robles we have to play a full second eleven to go with him!! if Robles is good enough for this game he should play every week.

Havent seen him look shakey. Couple of moments yep, but not much errors. Goalies get judged way too harshly. He is more than capable I think.

As for his kicking, both him and Timbo are very poor in this dept. So no real change there. He is better than Tim for long throws out from defence from what I have seen though.

I prefer having two active goalies....rather than a Muchamonster scratching his baubles on the bench.

Robles has started every cup game in both competitions this season for us mate, whilst Howard has been available for selection, to me that kinda states he was signed as both the backup and to play in the cup games, the two aren't mutually exclusive you know, also last year at Wigan he showed that he doesn't mind going with one keeper in the league and another in the cup, something he has mirrored here, if bobby played him against City in the final last year and away at Goodison against us, to me that shows he won't be suddenly pulling him for arsenal

We also played second string OUTFIELD players in the earlier rounds of the cup. Joel was Wigan's number 1 keeper when they were in the latter stages of the cup last year.....

If you'd seen your backup keeper come in at goodison and wembley twice and win the cup with you then i'd have faith in him to mate, perfectly understandable decision if he goes with the only player to have won a fa cup in the squad to start with (unless barry has one to not sure about that though)

It'll be Robles but personally I'd have Howard. I think it was Kendall who made a veiled slight at Moyes a couple of years ago when we played Mucha or maybe it was Wessels going even further back, in a cup game. He said your no.1 gk should play in all comps. I tend to agree unless he's going through a poor run of form.
