Not great at this, are you? That or you're trolling. Not sure which.

obviously not trolling, he's sharing an opinion. as are you. it's called having a discussion, don't get so worked up about another blue trying to have a convo on a forum, nobody will want to talk to you otherwise.

When did i rip into Howard ? I just stated fact. He's made mistakes and is prone to them.

Man City at Wembley a mediocre team. Okay lid.

Still no case for Robles. Swerved it again.

Howard has made mistakes, some absolute clangers. Like every keeper and certainly no more than his understudy would have made had he played a similar number of games.

Well, obviously I was talking about this season. Y'know, for Everton. I could list all the outstanding performances Howard has delivered against top teams if you like. It's a much longer list, 'Lid'.

Not getting worked up at all mate, couldn't be happier watching Moyes turn United into a laughing stock, in fact. :)

I tell you most important performance in this case:

I've not seen you show any reasons for why Howard is the markedly better keeper than Robles in this instance.

Robles hasn't played for us in the league really so you can't compare them there. But Robles has played in all of our FA Cup games and done a fine job. There's no reason to think therefore (especially when you look at his cup experience last year) that he wouldn't continue to do a fine job.

As i said, you're acting like there's some big gulf between the two when there's no evidence to suggest it.

I wouldn't mind if Robles starts he's played in bigger games and done well in them and i'd like to see if I think he's going to be good enough to replace Tim, who's a decent enough keeper but who's faults now annoy me after so many years watching him. I'm not saying Robles should start but I wouldn't be against it.

You tell me why Robles is the better keeper?

Howard has played in and won an FA cup final btw and a community shield if I remember correctly, too.

I'd say Howard is better because he's a hugely experienced keeper who has been one of the top players in his position this year. Robles hasn't. He's done good job against mediocre teams this season, which I'd imagine Howard would have managed too. He is Roberto's #1 after all, even despite his mistakes, which he could have been dropped for. Robles wasn't preferred though, says a lot for me at least.

Even if there was only a 1% difference between the two of them, I'd want Howard to start. It'd be ludicrous not to in this game. It will be difficult enough as it is, we should play our best XI which currently includes Howard. It really is as simple as that imo.

For United. About ten years ago.

Robles deserves to start.

Also I think robles was sigbed as Howards replacement, couple of bad games in a row and howard will be off....

Like Sunderland.

You like pulling random points out of a post to avoid the debate don't you. Like I said, again, had Robles played the full season he would have similar clangers so it's a moot point unfortunately.

As for Howard's FA cup final, vastly different circumstances of course. Shows he has 'pedigree' and has been there and done it though. Can't knock him.
