Wonderful service, everyone spoke so well, was very moving. Apart from the Everton stuff, i seen a nice floral tribute from Blackburn Rovers which was nice.

Question for anyone who got a copy of the order of service, what is the picture in the center pages bottom right?

There are two things that have made me well up since Howard died. The first was seeing Colin Harvey crying at the Man U game and the second was reading this thread. Howard's 80's team gave me the happiest footballing memories of my life. For that, I'll be eternally grateful to him. Howard Kendall: great footballer, great manager, great Evertonian, great man.

Mate I think you are totally correct about this thread. Despite the loss of Howard this thread will bring much comfort, pride and joy to Evertonians around the world. It is a fantastic read.

Bilbao I think mate.

Tear in my eye watching the eulogies and snippets from the service. The man commanded such huge respect from players and football people across the board. Nice to see Bill Kenwright there.
too. He doesn't look or sound right, but hopefully he can get over whatever is troubling him.
As for Howard? What a bloke. As many have said, watching Everton in the mid 80's was truly a pleasure. I was so lucky to see it. My only problem was that I started to take our success for granted. And then one day it was gone! Don't think we'll see the likes again. Thank you Howard. Gone but never forgotten.

Will be raising a glass shortly.

Question that's been on my mind today, do you think he knew he would get such a send off ?
Such an open outpouring of love and grief by so many ?
Really hope so.

I must be getting soft in my old age, mate. To think, Shankly almost signed signed him for the RS until Catterick snatched him from right under his nose. Shankly was so upset he handed in his resignation (rejected, of course). How different things might have been if Shankly had got his man. No Holy Trinity, Howard managing that lot instead of us....shudder!
