I look back at when I first went to a match, in the early sixties. I have like all our fans reveled in the successes from then to date. I thank heaven I was there at this time in our club beginning with Harry Catterick who was also a great manager and it was he who brought Howard to Goodison to start the love affair. Unfortunately for many they were too young to see Howard play alongside Alan and Colin, I thank the stars now that I was able. It is also so gratifying to be there when Howard was the manger and for an incredible successful period.

Yes I look back and thank the Lord I have been able to witness what is arguably the greatest part of Everton history apart from the "Dixie" years culminating in the Howard years as our manager.

Spot on so many memories of seeing HK on that turf home and away - like you I was privileged to see a trio of mid fielders in a great team play so magically, telepathically - their energy, their desire, their skill infectious to the rest of the team, and fans - no midfield will grace Goodison like those three RIP HK
