Question that's been on my mind today, do you think he knew he would get such a send off ?
Such an open outpouring of love and grief by so many ?
Really hope so.

I very much doubt he gave it a moments thought mate. His family would have been overwhelmed I am sure, and so very proud of their father, and grandfather.

Lovely tribute on Granada reports from Reidy, and some very emotional footage of the service.

Must be a small comfort for his family and close friends to see how well liked and respected Howard was from not just our own but from football as community.

Same here mate, the family all looking at me weird when I had to leave the room due to choking up when Duncan started crying doing his reading.

Been sat at work, in Hants, in my own Everton world doing nothing all day but reading about the service, viewing pics and tributes trying to keep my eyes dry.
I can catch up with work tomorrow...today is about a true Evertonian and a man who gave me some of my lifes greatest memories

Really emotional day following it in work ,howards death brought back some fantastic memories of the 80s team ,and remembering my dad who died 6 years ago aged 69 who brought me up an evertonian and the times shared with him at the the great games of the 80s .Thank you howard for the memories

If I've learned one thing today it is how important Everton and the people connected to the club are to me.

Crying my eyes out again here after just logging in, reading everything and then watching that clip as Howard was carried into the cathedral.

Not ashamed at all to admit it, in fact in proud. The fella gave me more happiness and joy than anyone else has - my ex-wife doesn't even come close.

The moment i heard of Howards' passing part of me died, so many memories and so much love for the player, boss, man.
Today has given me tears and also pride , proud of our club and fans
