How did you become an Evertonian?

I was born in Southampton. The only member of my family born there. The only member of my family who was not a Southampton fan (grandparents, dad, uncles, brother). I have always been different. I went to the Dell in 1987 and saw Sharp score 4 in a 4 nil victory. That was it. My Dad always told me if you support a club you should go to matches.remember being 8 years old and being told to wear my best shirt for school photo and being left out when I turned up in my Everton shirt.I went everywhere watching Everton. Even chose uni to be able to go every week. At a time we were awful. Got my first season ticket the year we drew with Cov to stay up. Wasted a fortune and lost a wife watching us be average. Lost a good job going to Villarreal away. 10 years ago when my son was born i accepted maybe some things were more important and moved to Spain. He wears his Everton kits to school regularly. He's already fulfilled his dream of going to goodison (even though we lost all 3 times)and looking forward to us going to the hillydick for his birthday for rugby league in July.

Family. Brother and Uncle were mad blues and so i just went that way as well from a very young age. Funny enough, my Dad was an armchair red and over a few years he became a blue because of us and even became a season ticket holder with us. We were lucky enough to have experienced quite a few good years of being an Evertonian. As mad it sounds no matter how much they have disappointed me particularly over the last decade, i can never stop loving the blue gets. 💙

Sagging school on the canal in Bootle, got as far as Bankhall Street, where a previous next door neighbours son whose dad ran a pub in Bankhall (The Griffin), spotted me, said he was going to queue up for a ticket for his dad (V Tottenham), I had nothing better to do so I tagged along with him and as it happened it was Goodison he was heading to.
At the ground he asked me if i wanted a ticket, it was 3 shilling i think, he had a pocket full of 2 bobs (he had been dipping the till), the ticket was for Gwladys Street and the rest is history.
I still break out in a cold sweat when i think it could have been Anfield he was heading to.

A mate of mine was asked by his long term girlfriend, Everton or me?
He said Everton of course...relationship over.
He's in his 60s and still obsessed with Everton...he's not single.
