How did you become an Evertonian?

2006 summer pre season game in Texas.

My dad told me all about this "big team from England" coming into town so we got tickets and went and saw Everton play Club America near our home. I had heard of the club just from my dad watching premier league every weekend (he never supported a club, just enjoyed the sport) so I ended up cheering them on in the game. It stuck from there.

literally closing my eyes and randomly sticking a pin in a premier league table 35 years ago because i was tired of everyone at school supporting man utd. best and worst decision of my life

At the age of one, my dad picked me up by my ankle and held me one-handed over the toilet while his other hand hovered over the flush handle and asked me if I preferred held me over the toilet by my ankle. He then asked me if I wanted to support Everton or the Shyte, i suppose I chose correctly. I still miss my twin sister though, I’ll never forget her tiny feet spinning around as the bowl emptied :(

Sagging school on the canal in Bootle, got as far as Bankhall Street, where a previous next door neighbours son whose dad ran a pub in Bankhall (The Griffin), spotted me, said he was going to queue up for a ticket for his dad (V Tottenham), I had nothing better to do so I tagged along with him and as it happened it was Goodison he was heading to.
At the ground he asked me if i wanted a ticket, it was 3 shilling i think, he had a pocket full of 2 bobs (he had been dipping the till), the ticket was for Gwladys Street and the rest is history.
I still break out in a cold sweat when i think it could have been Anfield he was heading to.
