Im 100% arsed - the two cups are our realistic chances of any silverware this year so to go out with barely a wimper annoys me. There are positives to take from it though as it gives Koeman the ammunition to say that he in effect has a squad of players of which only 14-15 of which are currently of the required standard to play for Everton. He thros that on Kenwright and Moshiris toes and walks out the room and there isnt really a lot they can argue back with. Koeman has to take some blame himself though - Mori at left back was a disaster waiting to happen when he had Oviedo available. Massively lacking striking options and replacing Gareth Barry when he reitres is going to be a monumental job because it always falls apart when he isnt playing.

I voted 100%. Didn't go the match last night and can't bring myself to watch the extended highlights on the OS. But we need to be going all out for these cup competitions. We've waited too long for a trophy.

Whilst I'm not giving Koeman a free ride, I'm also not laying the blame at his doorstep for this one. He put out a strong team last night, one that should have been more than capable of beating a second string Norwich team. I'm angry that they lost and I hope Koeman is too. I haven't seen any comments by him yet as come straight onto this thread to voice my anger.

I'm very arsed as it was a competition that gives a European place, and we cannot be picky as we haven't won a thing in over 20 years. To lose a home game against a non Premier League side is criminal. However, it's happen and we have to see how Koeman motivates the squad to bounce back.
