Said to my mate before the game I'd be happy if we lost.

Our squad is tiny as it is and we need to get through to January with the least amount of injuries as possible.

Not too bothered-cup wins won't attract big players to everton, only a league top 4 position (possibly top 5) will do that in a meaningful way.

Gerrard D. needs to work on his finishing. Valencia it's too early to tell for me, so happy to give him another chance.

1) 110% rant and fume, kick the cat, let it spoil my life until the next win?...Nah, over it to that extent.
2) Never like losing, while wishing some if not all of the players thought the same

3) Left by default with the old stand by - Everton and the League Cup just don't mix / It's only a Mickey Mouse Cup anyway.

Whilst internally thinking...How long will we hold on to 2nd playing that bad. Hope we win at Bournemouth and Koeman has a lot more work to do and players to replace.

Not trying to be smart here but Im not even so arsed. Woke up and saw the result...Calm reaction..." glad it wasnt a league game".Just one of those dips that happends to every club. Not taking anything away from canaries. Great result for them.

This was good slap on the wang for boys. No league cup distractions anymore and 100% focus on the most important.

Yes there are some benefits of not having a cup run and the result should also be a kick up the arse in case any complacency was setting in but I want Everton to win every game.

I guarantee the same people pretending not to care will be fuming about a missed opportunity when someone like Palace or Swansea win the f*****g thing.

Koeman was asked just recently about Everton challenging for the league; he pooh poohed the question as being totally unrealistic .
Today's game confirmed his stance. We have a good first team but are waaaay thin behind this.
