Is it only me wondering how FFUS managed to qoute Baines 3 BEFORE he posted?.........something weird going on!
But why does that matter ? A lot of people will have a party at work for somebody who has been there for ten years, a testmonial match is the equivalent of that. I don't understand why you're so annoyed at the idea of us celebrating it, his footballing ability is irrelevant.
If you work in an office doing a thoroughly average job for ten years you'll still most likely get a night out and a 'cheers' to you, it's just a nice way to commemorate something, stop making a big deal out of it !
Defo deserves a Testimonial....but how random is AEK Athens?!

I deleted it because I forgot to quote him on what he said mate![]()
My word, his ability is irrelvant. That's not what I'm on about.
I just think Tony Hibbert is an incredibly lucky man. He plays for his boyhood club, through circumstance as much as merit, and he's on an incredibly high wage. Celebrating his luck seems mental.
But we're not celebrating his luck, and i would also disagree that him playing for one of the top 20 sides in the country is down to just 'luck'.
You're making a tit of yourself here mate....

Jesus Christ.
Hibbert is "loyal" because no other feckers would ever want.
Haha.
I'm not saying you're going "yay he's so lucky". I'm saying that he's been lucky in my opinion and so celebrating his longevity when for him he's never really had better offers, and at times hasn't been up to the standard of other players in the team, just seems a tough ask.
Loyalty and longevity is what you're all celebrating. And all I'm saying is that it's all so contextual... if Hibbo had been offered twice as much to play elsewhere would he have left? Most definitely. The only reason he's lasted ten years is that he's just about good enough to be good enough, but he's never been good enough to move on.
I feel like I've woken up in a weird parallel universe were Hibbo is some sort of deity.
that was quite harsh mate. I'm suprised that you don't respect Hibbert.
He really deserves it
