Yeah, that makes sense.
I'm just a really determined kopite.
Then you must have it in for Hibbert then. Testimonials are not for 'special players' they are for 'Loyal Players'

Suprised by RFUS's comments here.
If any current Everton player deserves one it's him. It'll be a fun day too.
10 years at a Prem club - the lack of testimonials at other clubs tell you just how rare that is - more so for uncapped players like Tony or Leon. The only other players I can think of with long service at their only club are Carragher (he's had one), Gerrard & Terry.
Tony is a good servant and has put his whole life into our club.
I will get a ticket for this.
But that's not true, so you're basing your opinion on something that has never been the case.
Testimonials are for ten years of service or players who are particularly well renowned and are retiring. End of !
It's not odd at all...
In the neg rep you just gave me, you called him a "Goodison great".
Goodison greats are Dean, Ball, Harvey, Southall. Embarrassing that mate.

Oh ffs lad yes I get it, it's for 10 years service.
The semantics of the word "testimonial" are not what I'm talking about though. It's more that I think this will be the first Everton player testimonial I've seen, and he just isn't even in the top 10 players I'll remember fondly from the period in Everton's history I can remember.
I was only messing lad its only 'rep'.
Jesus Christ.
Hibbert is "loyal" because no other feckers would ever want him.
Rooney might have been "loyal" too if he was an average player.
