I have no real issue with them existing. I do have an issue with people paying for it when they have untold riches, they can easily sort themselves out without relying on the public for funding.

He's a UK citizen. Last I checked we kind of pride ourselves on freedom of expression.

And how is he "shoving his wealth in all our faces"? He's a lad who gets paid to play football and does a lot for good causes in his hometown. It's also not his choice who's face is on the money. Are you suggesting he goes back to barter or something?

Slightly off topic but also not as it is about taxes...

I learned recently that Japan have this pretty cool tax thing where a percentage of your tax can go to a prefecture of your choice. Mainly because Japan has a very unequal population so the more sparse areas population wise get loads less tax so to balance things out you can pick one of the prefectures and if you do it by a certain date they will send you a nice gift for doing so, same Wagyu beef, some posh strawberries etc, I really like that concept.

Taxation where you get to choose where some of your money goes feels like a very civilized way of doing things for me.

Thats not the point of contention Papa - why is this fella taken seriously when he hates the British Monarchy, hates the British Government, hates the British armed forces, hates the British people yet chooses to live and make a living here ?

He's hailed as a hero by some for pulling anti British stunts yet he's got zero principles.

He's all about the money yet the woke champion him as some freedom fighter.
