Everyone lies.

Anyone who believes press releases and manager interviews are anything other than pr exercises is very naive.

Martinez is great when giving interviews to the press and the media. Not joking here but I think he can be a very successful politician if he is not a football manager.

Moyes was never selling Lescott, Kenwright was never taking less than 60 million for Rooney, martinez was going to wait for the summer before getting mcgeady, etc., etc.

You're soft if you get upset about that sort of stuff, it all does good strengthening our bargaining positions.

Not getting upset, life's too full of other stuff for me to waste energy on getting upset. I get upset during match-times, that's about it.

Disappointed and a little deflated I am, tho'...I'm still a believer in Martinez, but certainly would feel disappointed if he was lying about having money to spend.

The lad's calling Martinez out as a liar. If that's true, then the future is bleak indeed. Lying owner and lying manager.

I for one don't believe that, I choose to believe Martinez when he said he had money to spend and chose not to spend it. It's his mistake, not Kenwright's.

Why are you stalking me?

Please stop.

hahahahaaha!

crying and shaking here.

Everyone knows you follow me round to make snidey comments about your obsession with my real identity. It's weird, but I've had weirder. Put me on ignore if you can't resist posting in my threads, you only end up debating yourself into a hole anyway.

Or, if you wanna stay, do you confirm that Martinez is a liar? Artetafan put it quite well above, so I understand if you feel that way too.

Barkley has been poor this calendar year, Pienaar only has one goal all season, Baines only has one assist and, given that Lukaku and Mirallas grew up together, they look like strangers. We lack pace and cohesion going forward. I don't think that new recruits could come in and change that unless they were top drawer. It's something that needs to come from the training ground.

I wont put you on ignore because your comments are part of the thread I'm reading and if they're about the footy I have no problem in reading them. Just stop bringing my name up in every other post. It's a bit sinister.

Thank you.

You can't be serious? Almost every encounter we have you start it by insinuating I'm a secret kopite. I then surround you with a barrage of reasoned opinion, then normally you just scuttle off. But this new tactic is very odd, seen as I don't bring up your name ever unless you're actively in the thread.

Are you feeling ok, mate?

New tactic?

I dont operate any 'tactic' in passing honest comments.

Anyway, you have my request and I hope you comply/respect it.

Alright, lads. We're all distraught, no need to go calling one another now.

Best try logging pout for a bit and come back when the dust has settled.

New tactic to wind me up. It's obvious, but harmless. I'm not gonna comply with a request to stop a non-existent thing. I recommend you report to the mods any problem you might perceive you have.

Anyway, no point in discussing this. It's tedious for everyone else. Discuss the thread topic.

Back on topic: 81% believe the January window has ruined our season, with 35% believing it's potentially ruining next season too.

We should've learnt from the last January window in 12/13...we didn't...unless Martinez pulls a memorable summer out of the bag, that is.

Martinez giving up on Jelavic and signing that lump Traore was a disaster. You honestly have to question if he can get the best out of stuttering players.

Aye...this is 100% on Martinez's door. Unless we can buy the theory of some on here that BK put pressure on Martinez to sell Jelavic to create more funds for the pockets of the board, while not releasing those funds for a replacement. Surely not true...is it?

Officially, yes.

But you have to bear in mind that back in September, one of the board members (forget who) said the McCarthy deal was not dependant on Fellaini going. Which is hard to swallow for most, myself included. Personally, I think there must have been more to it that Martinez not wanting to 'disturb the dressing room' which is what he said if I recall. But of course, from what we've been told, Martinez has to take responsibility. But is what we've been told true?

I think Martinez will end up regretting his claim that he just didn't want to spend in January.

At least the transfer window format gives us a break before we have to swallow the next load of rubbish.

'No one buys until after the World Cup,' 'the players are all still on holiday,' 'Gibson and Kone are like new signings.'
