The vast majority of our fan base is behind the board and Bill, that is obvious. I'd like to think more people would see him for what he is after we inevitably spend little in the Summer again, but it's happened so many times now and nothing ever changes.

I'll be honest, I think many of our fans are happy with the new image that Bill and Moyes created for the club and that's why Bill is clapped. Little old Everton, knife to a gunfight, upsetting the odds. It's romantic. It makes us different. It's as if spending money or winning things again makes us just another club. I honestly believe many of these so called Evertonians are happy being miserable. Yet it goes against everything our motto stands for - it's just not good enough.

I share everyone's disappointment that we haven't kept up our momentum from the early part of the season.

I am quite content thought that Martinez didn't blow hi wad at the first opportunity.

He expects to be here for 5 years and so as a result, he has a 5 year plan.
Give him a year to look at the squad. Identify the strengths and weaknesses and address them in the Summer.

Then continue to build over the following few years to get the team and style that he has in his vision.

As football fans, we sometimes lack patience.
Even Howard Kendall needed time.

That last sentence is what gives me hope mate.

It wasn't the boards fault the manager decided to sign an injured, lump of a center forward who you'll be lucky to get 4 games out of.

Martinez needs to take some blame as well
That's merely to offer an excuse for the carpet bagger's 14 years of failure to back a manager.

All roads lead back to Billy Liar and the assortment of fellow conmen he's surrounded himself with and propped him up in power.

So much evidence in that argument/discussion

Well done Dave, you've excelled yourself once again

Is it not right to state that the board have been pathetic and need chasing?

I'd have thought the facts were very thick on the ground given the last 14 years of absolute failure to put a penny into the club.

Maybe I have it wrong and they've actually done a good job?

Where's the 'mind your own business' option?

haha! I negged this with "try joining in the debate without mentioning Kenwright" then one minute later the next post is:

Kenwright's bound to be a topic in this thread, but Martinez told us that he had money to spend. Martinez chose not to spend it, Martinez chose to loan in a crock to replace a permanent squad striker. Martinez chose to sign a player of questionable fitness and quality to the squad (McGeady).
