2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

I’m curious. How many times did you see him at Preston and which aspects of his play there were poor and would have been developed if we’d left him there?
It’s about actually being on the field, which he is going to be less and less for us now that we have people back in the squad and fit.

Ideally for Armstrong he'd be playing central midfield for Everton, but as that's not likely right now the option for being involved in another position or as a substitute in Premier League games, involved in training, and just being a valued member of the team is much better than playing in any position for Preston. It'll also be much better for Everton in the long term.

Armstrong staying at Preston would have been ideal for Preston, but I don't see why that should be important to us. Good Everton players should obviously be playing for Everton.

Because he’s 18 and could use more experience playing against adults. Training does nothing. It’s not a match. Football is a sport where matches do not resemble training really at all.
