2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

After 3 decent showings he looked lost last night in a position that didn’t suit his game, that will be the evidence used to pack him back off to Preston.
If Moyes is playing him
As 10 in a system that doesn’t give us the ball much, then what’s the point him
Being here.
Send him back to Preston and in
The summer a new manager can coach him and the team properly

Think we got beat tactically in the first half last night and Armstrong suffered most as a result of it.

We looked to be in between a 4231 and a 442 with HA trying to support Barry in the press, but Leeds' numbers in defence and midfield absolutely overrun us. Moyes chose between him and Gana as one of them had to go.

KDH back from a month and a half injury, Gana abysmal and 37 years old, Garner in need of a rest - one injury and we're back to no options and recalling him.

Also honestly how about we bin Gana and use Armstrong so he plays here, at a higher level? A 37 year old should NEVER be a your first option.
But do you think Moyes will play him? Or will he spend most of the time on the bench.

There's an argument for just having around the team but I think Moyes will send him back on loan.

Just get rid of the whole No10 position on a team sheet, everyone that touches it gets shot down..

If you watched him up until now, he is a player that needs the field in front of him.

Yet he still got picked to start, so he's already stamped himself in Moyes thinking.

Send him back, stupid..

….Moyes selecting him ahead of Rohl was a big vote of confidence, although he obviously preferred him in that KDH role.

In light of our first half performance and with KDH back I wouldn’t be surprised if Armstrong goes back to PNE with a clause that he can be recalled.

Garner and KDH will start every game when fit meaning one place available for either Gueye, Iroegbunam and Alcaraz. Also enough cover there for injuries and suspension.

Playing Gana is - Rhol did not deserve to be dropped - odds on Gana may stink the gaff out & not get subbed it will be HA instead!

he was in no mans land in that role

a poster made a really good point about gana chasing the ball when he was meant to be a in a sitting midfield two

i think we may have been best served with garner in the 6 and giving armstrong and gana license to press and chase in a midfield three, both of them playing as 8s

keeping armstrong close to ndiaye would have helped him too

i would still keep him rather than loan, i don’t think we can rely on any of our players bar michael keane staying fit, and even hes missed one through a knock

there will be games where he is useful and learns a lot

then assess in summer whether hes going to play regularly or whether he goes on loan to coventry or ipswich or whoever comes up

Twice Gana passed the ball out of play& hit the advertising hoardings & Garner never dominated midfield because of him overhaul he had a very average game IMO - he should have never come back into a midfield that dominated 3rd place villa IMO .... still stand by that ....

DM has to stop changing winning teams - unless its obvious - we also missed Jack Grealish last night .... & HA is never a no 10 !

joey, i was saying you called it right. thats what the photo means, the character in the photo is confirming his belief that someone else in the film is a prophet!

i felt it was harsh to drop rohl and we really missed his physicality. but i understand why moyes went with gana

gana’s first half was really bad, he has a decent flurry in second half but i think he was lucky to survive

I’m hoping he is phased out for tim and/or ha in summer, or we go and sign a top class midfield destroyer

He’s not going to get a reference to the recent film adaptation of Dune ffs! 😂
