If you watched him up until now, he is a player that needs the field in front of him.

Yet he still got picked to start, so he's already stamped himself in Moyes thinking.

a poster made a really good point about gana chasing the ball when he was meant to be a in a sitting midfield two

i think we may have been best served with garner in the 6 and giving armstrong and gana license to press and chase in a midfield three, both of them playing as 8s

keeping armstrong close to ndiaye would have helped him too

i would still keep him rather than loan, i don’t think we can rely on any of our players bar michael keane staying fit, and even hes missed one through a knock

there will be games where he is useful and learns a lot

then assess in summer whether hes going to play regularly or whether he goes on loan to coventry or ipswich or whoever comes up

No he has to be in and around the team next season

DM set him up like a kipper last night he has never ever played that position - meddling Dave - he disrupted a team that beat 3rd place Villa - & if Gana plays - Garner is anonymous in our set up - most posters have commented on that point - our main playmaker was missing last night - first half we had a chance of a break away & Gana was 2 yards too slow lost the ball - to break up a successful midfield trio was ridiculous that played at Villa - DM always seems to do it ?

Playing HA at no 10 was just plain stupid too & Dwight got 2 out of 10 for his performance ....

But do you think Moyes will play him? Or will he spend most of the time on the bench.

There's an argument for just having around the team but I think Moyes will send him back on loan.

I like him as an option off the bench, offers something different coming on and looks to make stuff happen.

We need a starter though. I wouldnt mind seeing Dibling get a go at 10 as to my eyes thats clearly where he should be playing. In that case we would need to sign a winger though.

Moyes and Transfer Team need to start singing from the same hymn sheet as we really obviously need to bring in 2/3 players this month imo.

There's as much chance of us bringing in 3 players in the next week as Joey going a day without insulting Preston !

He has, Preston played him there a few times further forward but more to the right, each time he was lost in the game..
